We are looking for a new travel sakes agent to join our team in a fast growing agency catering to upscale single travelers. Successful candidates are responsible for providing exceptional delivery of travel services to our 20,000-member community and encouraging participation in community and social media outlets. Excellent sales skills and customer service orientation is required as you will be responsible for providing quality service, timely and accurate completion of travel arrangements and the sale of value added services. Expertise is required in international and domestic reservations. This position requires the ability to be highly productive in a self-directed work environment.
*Closing sales on leads that are provided by agency
*Outbound sales activities to include, but not limited to, immediate follow up with website leads (bookmarks), contacting members upon return from tour, contacting past clients to offer promotions.
*Taking calls and e-reservations from among our 30 annual tours/cruises listed on our website, selling add-ons such as air (issue tickets), hotels, and insurance.
*Collect payment by entering and verifying scheduled services and charges; computing total; obtaining credit card charge, check, or cash.
*Invoicing with complete and accurate details.
*Maintaining all client files including airline seats, updating profiles, answering questions, assisting with web community registration, and any other details related to the file. *Making reservations and payments to suppliers, meeting payment deadlines, reviewing passenger data from vendor manifests.
*Responding to daily emails (initial inquiries, follow up on bookings, answering questions).
*Handling customer service issues before and after departure in accordance with company policy

Experience/Technical Skills: 3+ years as a leisure travel agent with Sabre, Clientbase, Cruising Power, NCL Agent Portal, Word, Excel Internet, Email, MS Outlook

*Candidate must possess strong consultative selling skills, decisive and successful problem solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, in addition to strong organizational and prioritizing skills.
*The ability to use the Internet effectively to service customer needs and troubleshoot basic computer problems is a must.
*The candidate must be self-motivated and demonstrate initiative with a strong commitment to personal goals, objectives, and work ethic.
*The ability to work under pressure and effectively multi-task while maintaining professional rapport with customers is essential.
