The Campus Engagement Coordinator is a member of the CISabroad University Relations team and will report to the Director of University Relations (DUR). The Campus Engagement Coordinator is responsible for assisting and supporting the University Relations (UR) team in recruitment. The position’s main objective will be to increase CISabroad’s outreach to alumni of CISabroad programs on college campuses, resulting in higher volumes of leads, applications, and brand awareness. The Campus Engagement Coordinator will also support the UR Regional Directors and Managers in covering fairs and other events around the country. These should coincide with alumni efforts whenever possible.
This position is part of a team of dedicated professionals at CISabroad who work collaboratively to increase enrollment of CISabroad programs. This position is a good fit for independent, self-motivated, creative, critical thinking, and energetic young professionals/recent graduates interested in the field of international education.
Work with Alumni and Events Coordinator to recruit, train and maintain Alumni Ambassador database
Connect with alumni, primarily on campus, to drive innovative new student outreach tactics
Support Alumni Referral Program on select campuses
Enhance our relationships with universities by supporting more communication around on-site, student-generated content, re-entry workshops, career workshops, etc.
Work with UR representatives and alumni to build relationships with campus organizations and offices (e.g., athletics, student clubs and associations, greek life, multicultural offices, TRIO programs, disability services)
Represent CISabroad at study abroad fairs, pre-departure orientations, career services fairs, and other student-facing campus events at institutions as needed by UR Directors and Managers
Arrange campus visits around needed fair coverage with a focus on working closely with alumni to organize student outreach opportunities
Organize and participate in other on-campus promotional efforts and applicant nurturing, including presenting to classes and student organizations, and hosting advising sessions with students
Work with Alumni and Events Coordinator to maximize use of Alumni Ambassadors within region
Follow-up with and nurture high potential leads in coordination with the Global Advising Center
Articulate and advocate actions and approaches that assist CISabroad in doing outreach to underrepresented student groups
Provide input on marketing strategies and materials for programs and conduct market research as necessary
Manage travel expenses and reconcile expenses in an accurate and timely manner
Coordinate travel logistics in a timely and cost-effective manner for regional travel; including airfare, lodging, and ground transportation
Represent CISabroad honestly, accurately, and in the spirit of its values
Other duties as assigned, often with interest and expertise in mind
Attend and fully participate in team-wide trainings trainings (August, December, April)
Access to company-wide professional development events
Potentially represent CISabroad at re-entry events (e.g., Lessons from Abroad)
Potentially work with colleagues and partner institution peers to propose and present a session at a re-entry or other professional conference
Receive internal safety and risk management training, Ally Training, among others
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree (by start date)
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history
International study/intern/volunteer/work/or travel experience
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as be a team player
Ability to travel frequently in the assigned region and to CISabroad home office for trainings
Self-motivated and self-starter who enjoys getting the job done
Flexible and adaptable to changing or uncertain situations (i.e. travel delays)
Energetic, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who can inspire anyone to go abroad
Expressed interest in the field of International Education
Aptitude to thrive without a routine or daily supervision
Effective written communication and public speaking skills
Skilled at multitasking in a fast-paced environment
Team player with a rockin’ sense of humor
Functional knowledge of Google Suite, Skype, MS Word/PowerPoint/Excel
Sales, marketing, or outreach experience
Experience working or volunteering in study abroad office or promoting your study abroad program as an alumnus
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Remotely based within region; working from your home office when not traveling
Frequent air and/or ground travel, with an average of 5-6 days per week during the peak recruitment season (September-November, January-March)
Hours during the recruitment season, trainings, and conferences fall outside of the typical 9-5 and often spill into the evenings and weekends
Ability to lift or maneuver up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods of time, walk long distances, climb stairs, bend, and squat
Stamina to sit on planes/in cars for long periods of time, especially due to unforeseen flight delays or traffic
