Position Title: TODOS (The Outcomes-Based Diversity Outreach Strategy) Engagement Coordinator
Location: Remote; Southeast United States (Preferably in Florida, Georgia or Alabama)
Hours: Full-Time, 10 Months, 40 Hours/Week, Some Evenings/Weekends
Anticipated Start Date: July 2019

TODOS (The Outcomes-Based Diversity Outreach Strategy) is focused on results/outcomes of diversity and inclusion measures put in place to remove the barriers keeping students and educational institutions of varied diverse economic, educational, ethnic, and social backgrounds from studying abroad in Barcelona, Spain.
Please note that, although this position is a 10 month contract (July 2019 - April 2020), there is a possibility for extension if both parties agree.
The TODOS Engagement Coordinator is responsible for assisting and supporting Barcelona SAE’s University Relations team, specifically as it relates to support of TODOS and outreach to MSI’s (Minority Serving Institutions). This entry-level position’s main objectives are to help increase awareness, recognition, and reputation of Barcelona SAE programs through study abroad fairs, information sessions, and meetings with institutional staff specifically as it relates to our diversity and inclusion initiative, TODOS.
The successful candidate will be able to work effectively as a member of a team, but also from a remote home office; provide direction and strategy; and will possess strong organizational skills. The TODOS Engagement Coordinator reports to the Director of Partnership Development & Diversity Initiatives.
This position is part of a team of experienced professionals at Barcelona SAE who work collaboratively to provide the best study abroad, internship, and customized programs in Barcelona, and is a perfect fit for a driven, creative, and energetic young professional.
TODOS: The Outcomes-Based Diversity Outreach Strategy
Assist in the development of TODOS programming opportunities to support the needs of students of various races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities, socio-economic classes, religious and spiritual traditions, ages and abilities
Assist with development and ongoing evaluation and reporting of TODOS programming and outreach
Coordinate communication for the HBCU newsletter
Participate on TODOS task force and implementation of roadmap
Assist with coordination of TODOS trainings and resources
Other duties as assigned
Work with the university relations team to identify new opportunities and nurture existing regional relationships with MSI’s specifically in the southeast and nationally
Represent and promote Barcelona SAE at study abroad fairs, career fairs and other on-campus events throughout the year.
Continually provide value to our institutional partners
Assist in planning, managing, and implementing an annual regional strategy for the southeast and MSI outreach nationally
Present to study abroad office, diversity and inclusion campus outreach and student groups, as appropriate
Share out trends from the road in relation to student interests, questions, challenges, etc.
Other duties as assigned
Manage travel expenses and reconcile expenses in an accurate and timely manner
Coordinate travel logistics in a timely and cost-effective manner for regional travel; including airfare, lodging, and ground transportation
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Remotely based within region; working from your home office when not traveling
Frequent air and/or ground travel, with some nights and weekends during the peak recruitment season (September-November, January-April)
Hours during the recruitment season, trainings, and conferences fall outside of the typical 9-5 and often spill into the evenings and weekends
Ability to lift or maneuver up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods of time, walk long distances, climb stairs, bend, and squat
Stamina to sit on planes/in cars for long periods of time, especially due to unforeseen flight delays or traffic

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
1 year of professional work experience
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with diversity education
Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Knowledge of U.S. university system and study abroad
Ability to thrive in a flexible environment
Ability to strategize, anticipate, and take initiative
Team player with a rockin’ sense of humor

Strong commitment to inclusive practices within international education
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree from a MSI (Minority Serving Institution) within the U.S.
Intermediate or higher level of spoken and written Spanish
Familiarity with design and creative software
International study, intern, and/or volunteer experience, preferably in Barcelona or Spain
Proven experience in engaging historically underrepresented students
A strong understanding of diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice
